I worked with Barncastle as the photographer for an intimate wedding they held there. The staff was so incredibly helpful and kind to both me, the couple getting married, and their guests. They created an amazing full weekend experience for the couple and their guests. I absolutely loved working with Barncastle and I can't wait to photograph there more!
We attended their 2025 Summer Concert Music, and the Live Music event was fantastic. A beautiful barn area with the perfect atmosphere supporting the local talent. At the barn, they have a bar, but zero food. I would highly recommend offering simple bites or snacks from their next-door restaurant. It would make the Live Music concert so much more fun to be able to purchase a few snacks along with the drinks.
We had a lovely stay at the barn castle with our 2 year old daughter. Lizzie was so warm and hospitable upon entering. We stayed in a beautiful room with apparently one of the oldest tubs in Maine lol. It was quiet and serene. After we put our daughter to bed we went down and had a beautiful dinner prepared by chef Owen (owner) and his staff. Alsatian and German originated menu that was absolutely incredible. Waitstaff was friendly and accommodating not just at dinner but throughout the whole stay. The only downfall we saw was that it’s too far to come more often(5+ hour drive from MA with a toddler). This was our second stay and look forward to many more.
Our stay was fantastic! This was our second time staying here, and the quaint atmosphere paired with amazing customer service always makes our stay comfortable. An added bonus is the delicious food, and the restaurant staff is so friendly, going above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The owner always makes us feel like family and goes the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Thanks again! Cheers until next time.
Stayed overnight at this lovely inn, but the highlight was dinner. What a wonderful meal! Started off with a unique Japanese custard-like dish - cannot remember the name of it, but it was uniquely flavorful. Then had an equivalent of a flat bread pizza that was equally tasty. Worth a visit for dinner whether or not you stay there.
This is the best restaurant in Maine. The menu is always fantastic. Service is always fantastic. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a special occasion.
We stayed here for one night and loved our experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and our room was adorable! We went to the hotel bar and ordered drinks. The bartender was great, prices were fair, and the drinks were great! We enjoyed walking around the grounds. The location was so peaceful and we loved the vibe of the bar and the interior of the hotel. Great experience!
